Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, the force said.
These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A toddler aged three was among the injured in the event. Five people went to hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.
Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the scene. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Authorities were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by a noxious substance thought to be an irritant spray.
The assault - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
