19 of Medvedev's twenty-one victories have been earned on hard courts
A comeback Daniil Medvedev won his initial championship for 882 days with victory over Corentin Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
The athlete, a ex- top-ranked player, has had a difficult period, achieving just a single victory at the Grand Slams and suffering a difficult moment at the US Open.
The player's unpredictability on the tennis tour - and issues with his service game in especial - led to him falling of the top ten and eventually separating with former coach his previous coach.
Now working with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, he has gradually advanced in the recent weeks - climaxing in a closely contested three-set win over Frenchman Corentin Moutet.
This marks his initial title since the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard court after spring of the previous year.
The win also indicates Medvedev has achieved twenty-one championships at 21 various events.

"This championship is in dedication of my child my daughter, because the initial championship I got when my first daughter Alisa was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the past champion, had been defeated in his previous six finals, comprising in the German tournament earlier this year.
Medvedev's defensive strategy and regular outbursts on the tennis court had led observers to question if his ability to compete at the highest level was concluded.
Yet the athlete has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and play aggressively, supported by an better serve.
The champion came back from a deficit in the opening set against the challenging Moutet, securing 4 of the concluding five exchanges to go ahead.
Both players exchanged breaks in the middle set before Moutet, striving for his first tour championship, took control to push for a final set.
Moutet rescued four early break points in a close final set before Medvedev secured a break to that score to serve for the match.
Fittingly, the winner earned the win with a rally at the net area, with the Frenchman failing to handle a shot after two hours and 38 minutes.
